1. Measuring feet

Foot measurement requires specialized technicians to complete. The length, width and height of each part of the foot must be accurately measured. This data is an important basis for making personalized shoe lasts.

2. Making the last

A pair of handmade shoes must be based on a shoe last. By obtaining the size data of the customer's foot, the last maker makes a mold for the shoe based on the shape of the customer's foot. The last is like a "model" for the foot.

Modern last design technology involves several disciplines such as ergonomics and sports mechanics. It also requires a high level of craftsmanship and experience. A pair of shoe lasts made by professional technicians not only reflects the beauty of the shoe shape, but also determines whether the final shoe can fit the customer's feet.

3. Shoe Design

Designers create sketches of shoe styles based on customers' individual requirements. After revising the sketch several times, the three-dimensional effect of the shoe is finally drawn directly on the shoe last, including every detail of the style.

4. Tannery

Tanning is the processing of leather. A piece of high-quality leather must pass through complex processes such as degreasing, tanning, grinding, dyeing, embossing and polishing, and finally be processed into finished products of various styles and become the material for corresponding shoe styles.

5. Cutting leather

According to the style designed by the designer, the leather cutting technician converts it into paper patterns and uses these paper patterns to cut the leather.

When cutting leather, the selection of leather parts is very specific. High-end handmade shoes in particular require rigorous screening of materials. Every inch of leather must be of the highest quality.

6. Making Brogue Pattern

Usually, the cut leather used for shoe uppers needs some elegant decoration. Shoemaking technicians use edge trimming machines to trim the edges, and then use punches to punch small holes in the leather to create various brogue patterns. This is a manual process that requires patience and skill. If a mistake is made, the piece of leather is replaced.

7. Hand Sewing

The finished leather parts of the upper are sewn together. The sutures used are waxed waterproof sutures. During the sewing process, if a thread breaks, the leather is cut again to ensure top quality.
