Introduction
Anti-smash safety shoes are high-performance work boots designed to protect the toes from crushing injuries. They feature an internal steel toe cap for impact protection. The shoes are made from durable leather and other materials to shield the toes from damage.
Construction
Anti-smash shoes have the following key components:
- Steel inner toe cap
- Toe insole
- Leather upper
- Eyelets for laces
- Shoelaces
- Heel protective leather
- Inner lining and padding
- Outsole for traction and durability
Performance Standards
Shoes are tested and must meet the following standards:
Toe Cap Protection
- Pressure Resistance Test: Place toe on testing machine and apply a calibrated force, measuring deformation. Must not exceed specifications.
- Impact Resistance Test: Drop a weight onto the toe from a set height, measuring deformation. Must meet requirements.
- Inner toe cap must withstand tests without more than 22mm deformation.
Durability
- Outsoles must have a minimum thickness of 4mm directly injected or 6mm for full rubber soles.
- No defects in the upper, stitches, colors, or materials upon visual inspection.
Corrosion Resistance
- Toe cap exposed to NaCl solution for 48 hours, measured spots of corrosion. Must have 5 or fewer spots smaller than 2.5mm each.
